What do doctors use to make the surface slippery?

it deals with infusion. please help. Thanks a million beforehand!!!

ANSWER:

Sorry, but to make the surface of what slippery? And infusion of what? Urinary catheters are usually coated with a lubricant to make insertion easier, sometimes with a surgical lubricant, sometimes they are manufactured with a hydrophilic coating to mix with water for the same purpose. In conjunction with an intravenous infusion, I have no idea. A common lubricant is KY jelly, but there are plenty of similar products, some silicone, some water based. Sorry but to help you more, you need to give a bit more information.

ANSWER:

You have to be more clear. What type of infusion I.V.? What surface is slippery?
